Kids find it hard to sit still at the best of times, but as I read with children at our church school I’ve noticed a few who just can’t keep themselves in a single place when they’re reading aloud, let alone doing it whilst listening to others read or reading to themselves. I liked this illustration of the phenomenon I found recently:

Not just small boys- I move round like that and I’m a 50+ woman!!!
My daughter is still like this at 28….
but I love the pictures – particularly the way despite wriggling he is still absorbed in the book.
A pretty captivating book, by the look of it!

I am homeschooling 3 boys. We have studied many subjects like this. It always amazes me that they still learn. In fact, they love to learn, by the grace of God. Thanks for the picture.
