It’s been a bit stressy here in the Vicarage the past couple of weeks and I’ve struggled to get my head into gear to write a blog post. I miss it though, so I’m easing my way back in by skiving and posting this piece of kinetic typography. Lecrae is the Vicar’s new favourite Christian artist. Rap’s not so much my thing but I love this version – where I can keep up with the words.
Alas, most of the Lecrae kinetic typography I could find on YouTube had even more spelling errors and I couldn’t quite bring myself to post them.
It’s nice to have you back!
Hi, thanks for sharing…different but very enjoyable. God bless x
Quite exhausting! But thank you.
Thanks for the welcome back ladies. Seems like your views on rap are similar to mine. Great lyrics tho’, eh?
I must be older than I thought – I couldn’t understand that at all. That sounds exactly the sort of comment my dad made about Malcolm and Alwyn, my first Christian record, in the early 70s. They played at freshers week…But seriously, what was it meaning? The graphics didn’t help my understanding at all – though I have a thing about block capitals as a ‘once upon a time’ primary teacher.
I think it was about what we chase and the things that are false idols (playing basketball, music, academia, career etc). I quite like the block capitals – like on an engineering drawing 🙂 And they helped me hear the lyrics better.
Dear Vicar’s Wife,
I saw this and thought you might find it interesting: a conference on Clergy Spouses.

You might want to mention it on your blog. (I’m not associated with it or going, I just saw it on a noticeboard.)
With kind regards,
A Reader
Thank you A Reader. It looks interesting, although I’m not sure I’ll manage to get to Durham to attend. Maybe if the next one’s in Birmingham! If you are able to attend, do let me know – perhaps we could have a guest blog report…
welcome back – hope you can get some rest too
