The Vicar pointed me to a better picture of his glorious shed, this time taken from the garage door end.

   The cat is looking a little mangy at the moment so I thought it might damage her dignity if we took a photo. Will try and get one from her good side… or pay a visit to the vets.

     Hello Iconoclast. Nice to see you again. Not pews – they were removed in a reordering long before our time (and I think they are better flogged off than burnt). I think those are probably bed slats from a local skip. Or possibly parts of a pallet. We seem to get a lot here in our rather industrial parish.

   What is it about vicars and chainsaws? The last rector here left a patio piled high with wood, which took ages to clear – and we found a lovely patio underneath! We’ve kept some and given some away, but there is still a big pile of logs at the bottom of the garden which you are welcome to if you ever run out!!!

   Thank you for the kind offer Rector’s wife. Maybe the Vicar and the Rector will discuss it – I think they are spending tonight and tomorrow together at a diocesan training event.

   Glad you found your patio underneath the wood. I think Vicarage gardens seem to yield a good crop of it. We have a few trees to come down this winter.
